High Access Rigging
High access rigging refers to the specialized installation methods and equipment used to safely install, service, or remove signage in elevated or difficult-to-reach locations. This includes work performed at significant heights, over public areas, on tall building façades, or in areas where standard lifts or ladders are not sufficient.
It is a critical component of exterior signage installation, especially for large-scale branding such as channel letters, building signs, monument elements, and architectural signage systems.
Types of high access rigging:
1. Rope Access Installation
Installers use rope systems to descend or position themselves on vertical surfaces.
2. Aerial Lift Installation
Boom lifts or scissor lifts are used to elevate installers to the work area.
3. Hybrid Access Systems
Combination of lifts and rope systems used for complex or partially obstructed installations.
4. Rooftop Access Systems
Installation performed from roof-mounted anchor points or structures.
